Thomas D. Huffman holds both the Bachelor of Music and the Master of Music degrees from West Virginia University and is a Past Dean of the Clearwater Chapter of the American Guild of Organists where he also currently serves as the chair of the Scholarship Committee and produces the monthly Chapter newsletter.
Tom previously served Northwood Presbyterian Church of Clearwater for eleven years as Associate Director of Music/Organist and prior to that, the First United Methodist Church of Dunedin for over 25 years as the full time Director of Music and Worship Arts. He has also worked as supply organist for four different Episcopal churches in the area. Tom is active in The Fellowship, a national group of musicians and worship leaders and has served as the Worship Chair, Principal Organist and choral accompanist for their annual Florida Church Music Workshop held each June.
Mr. Huffman is a well-known accompanist for groups including the Clearwater Bach Choir and has served several Pinellas County (FL) schools as choral accompanist. He has performed with the Florida Orchestra Brass and given numerous organ recitals including concert appearances at St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh (Scotland), St. Columb’s Cathedral, Derry (Northern Ireland), and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin (Republic of Ireland). He and his wife, Cindy, have three grown children and live in Dunedin FL.
