Each year our church elects lay leaders from the congregation to fill a number of roles. In 2023 Good Shepherd will elect 3 Vestry members and 1 Endowment Board member. In addition, we will choose 3 delegates and 1 alternate to attend our annual Diocesan Convention October 13-14, 2023.
All adult members of the church are eligible to vote for candidates at our Annual Meeting on February 12, 2023.

Interested in Serving as an Elected Leader at our Next Election?
Along with the clergy, the Vestry has the privilege and responsibility of serving the congregation. Convention delegates and alternate delegate attend the October convention to represent this congregation. The Endowment Board sets the policy for and manages the Fund. We hold elections for open positions yearly at our Annual Meeting, held in February.
Requirements and Expectations
The basic requirements for all positions are: you must be a member of the church; at least 18 years old for Vestry and 25 for the Endowment Board; a giver of record; and committed to the life of the parish. If you qualify, and are willing to commit, please email a completed questionnaire in Word format to the church office before the published deadline.
Members are expected to commit to faithfully attend each Vestry meeting; the Vestry retreats; and be active in attending and supporting parish functions.
Three delegates and one alternate attend planning meetings and the two-day, October 13 & 14, 2023 convention in Punta Gorda.
Members need basic familiarity with financial matters and a commitment to attend Board meetings, and take part in facilitating the Board’s programs and projects.
To ensure the members of the congregation have what they need to make an informed decision, there will be no nominations from the floor at the annual meeting. Only candidates who complete the relevant questionnaire and submit it electronically (via email) to the office by the published deadline will appear on the ballot. Questionnaires are available online or in back of the church in January. Voting will take place during the annual meeting. Please submit your information in Word format.
