CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR FARM WORKERS AND THEIR  FAMILIES

We are again collecting gifts, donations, and used blue jeans in good condition for the farm workers and their families. Our donations will be combined with those from other churches and organizations to provide gifts for over 200 families.

Gifts are now being accepted through Sunday, December 15, 2024.

Checks for monetary donations may be made out to COGS with the memo line marked Farm Workers.

Gift Suggestions:

• used blue jeans in good condition for men, women, and children;
• gifts for 11-15 year old boys and girls;
• self-care items such as toiletries;
• items for infants;
• toys and games;
• sports equipment and balls of all kinds;
• underwear and socks for any age;
• new children’s books in English; and
• work gloves and long sleeved work shirts.
  
  (Please, no toy guns or other weapons.)

Thank you for your generosity and show of appreciation.

Bins will be located in the church and in Kirk Hall where you can put your gifts.

You may also donate money allowing us to shop for you. Checks should be made out to COGS and noted “Farm Workers Account.” You may also choose to use REALM to donate online or our Text-To-Give option using your phone, again indicating “Farm Workers Account” in the comments/memo area.

Every year Farm Worker Self-Help and Resurrection House Mission in Dade City give Christmas gifts to over 200 farm worker families. Using lists the families have provided, they fill bags with gifts and the families drive by Christmas Eve, get them, and take them home.

Good Shepherd has contributed to this for over 30 years. You may purchase gifts and bring them to bins at the church and in Kirk Hall through December 15th. You may also make a check out to COGS noted “Farm Worker Fund” and we will shop for you.
